Carolina Hurricanes v Montreal Canadiens 

4-6 

The Hurricanes battled from 4-2 down but their comeback was too late and anytime they’d score, they would concede almost immediately. Carolina had plenty of opportunities to level things when it was 5-4, but Carey Price kept his team in the game, as did Jeff Petry with his empty netter.

Arizona Coyotes v Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo sent the Coyotes to their fourth successive defeat thanks to goals from Casey Mittelstadt, Jeff Skinner and Evan Rodrigues.

Jack Eichel got his 29th assist of the season and Sam Reinhart got his 19th.

Artemi Panarin scored twice for the Blue Jackets to help get their revenge for the 4-1 loss to the Kings earlier in the season.

Toronto Maple Leafs v Tampa Bay Lightning 

1-4 

Kasperi Kapanen gave the Leafs an early lead but the Bolts scored 4 unanswered goals, including Nikita Kucherov‘s 13th goal and 34th assist of the season.

Andrei Vasilevskiy made 48 saves to help his team secure their eighth victory in a row.

Vancouver Canucks v Nashville Predators

3-4 (OT) 

The Canucks overcame a 3-1 deficit to force overtime at the Bridgestone Arena. Colton Sissons scored the winner three minutes in.

Florida Panthers v Minnesota Wild

Minnesota Wild scored five unanswered goals to thrash the Florida Panthers 5-1 at the Xcel Energy Center.

Edmonton Oilers v Winnipeg Jets

4-5 (OT) 

Edmonton came back from 3-1 down to make it 4-3 Oilers which stood right up until Mark Scheifele‘s equalizer nine minutes from time, taking it to overtime. The Kitchener, Ontario native then set up Josh Morrissey for the overtime winner.

Dallas Stars v San Jose Sharks

2-3 

Martin Jones made 20 saves whilst Timo Meier scored twice to help the Sharks defeat the Stars by the same scoreline that they lost to in Dallas last week.

Tyler Seguin got his 19th assist of the season and Jamie Benn his 13th for the Stars. Logan Couture had his 22nd assist of the campaign on Meier‘s second of the night.

Stats were pretty much evenly matched across the board, with both teams winning 50% of their face-offs.
