Arizona Coyotes v San Jose Sharks

4-3 (SO)

Alex Galchenyuk scored twice and had the deciding goal in the shootout for the Coyotes, who are now 16-18-2. Unfortunately for the new acquisition, goals in the shootout do not count toward a hat trick, therefore even though he scored three, because one came in the SO, he did not secure a hat trick. Meanwhile rookie Conor Garland scored for Arizona, who have won two in a row after losing three straight.

Darcy Kuemper made 35 saves, including eight in overtime and denied all three Sharks shots he faced in the shootout.
