The Las Vegas Golden Knights vs the Arizona Coyotes was the only game in the NHL today, with everyone else playing on New Year’s Eve.
After an impressive game from the visitors, they walked away with a 5-1 road victory. Paul Stastny, Reilly Smith, Cody Eakin, Brandon Pirri and Ryan Carpenter all scored for the Knights, with Carpenter‘s coming shorthanded.
The Coyotes’ only goal was netted by Alex Galchenyuk. Upon recording an assist on the goal, Oliver Ekman-Larsson became the franchise’s leading defensive point scorer.
Marc-Andre Fleury won his NHL-leading 22nd game of the season for the Knights, who are 6-1-0 against Arizona since joining the NHL at the start of last season. The 34-year-old made 29 saves on 30 shots.
The Win extended Vegas’ winning streak to three.
