Pekka Rinne made 18 saves for the Nashville Predators in a 4-0 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena.
Mattias Ekholm, Colton Sissons and Kevin Fiala each registered a goal and an assist, while P.K. Subban scored for the Preds, on a night both his parents were in the crowd. The Nashville Predators are 4-0-1 in their past five games after going 0-5-1 in the previous six.
Michael Hutchinson made 28 saves in net for the hosts, who thought they’d scored when Auston Matthews found the back of the goal, but it was overturned on video review after it was determined that their entry into the zone was offside.

Jordan Binnington made 25 saves for a shutout in his first NHL start, as the St Louis Blues handed the Flyers their seventh straight loss. The goaltender has played three other NHL games, including two this season, but they’ve all come in relief of another.
Brayden Schenn, Vladimir Tarasenko and David Perron scored for the visitors, who won for the second time in five games.
Carter Hart made 35 saves for Philly, who have been shut out six times this season. This losing streak is their longest since they went 10 straight from November 11th to December 2nd 2017.

Minnesota Wild v Montreal Canadiens

Devan Dubnyk made 32 saves as the Wild recorded their first shutout of the season and Dubnyk‘s 30th of his NHL career in a 1-0 win against the Canadiens.
Mikael Granlund scored an unassisted goal 6:58 into the third period for Minnesota, which has won three straight and four of five following a five-game losing streak. It was their ninth consecutive win against Montreal.
Carey Price made 24 saves for the Canadians, who have lost consecutive games since winning five of six.
Canadiens’ Shea Webber was struck on the left side of the face in the first period, the captain remained on the ice, but did not return for the second. There was also an injury for Minnesota with forward Eric Fehr leaving and not returning after he fell into the boards when he was checked by Kenny Agostino, who got a major penalty for interference and a game misconduct at 2:28 of the first.

Johnny Gaudreau scored for a fifth straight game on Monday night. The forward netted two to extend his point streak to 13pts (7g, 6a) over the five-game stretch.
Sean Monahan registered a goal and an assist, Elias Lindholm had two assists for the 27-13-4 Flames and David Rittich made 32 saves to secure Calgary’s fifth win in their past seven games.
Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist for Chicago. Alex DeBrincat and Brandon Saad also scored. Erik Gustafsson recorded two assists and Collin Delia made 39 saves.

Los Angeles Kings v San Jose Sharks

Joonas Donskoi, Tomas Hertl and Joe Thronton scored for the San Jose Sharks as they beat the LA Kings 3-1 on Monday night.
Erik Karlsson registered an assist on all three goals, taking his season tally to 35. Meanwhile Martin Jones made 22 saves in net and recorded an assist on Hertl‘s goal.
Anze Kopitar was the lone goalscorer for the visitors, scoring his 11th of the season. Jack Campbell saved 26 of 28 shots for the Kings, who have lost three of their last four games.
