Just six teams took to the ice tonight as most’s Bye Week continues.

Winnipeg Jets v Boston Bruins

4-3 (SO)

Kyle Connor scored twice in 34 seconds in the third period and scored the lone goal in the shootout to lift the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-3 victory over the Boston Bruins at TD Garden.

Connor Hellebuyck made 36 saves, with Josh Morrisey also scoring for the Jets, who avoided their first three-game losing streak of the season. Mark Schiefele took his assists tally to 36.

Patrice Bergeron scored two goals and Jaroslav Halak made 24 saves for the Bruins, who are 1-2-2 in their last five games. Brad Marchand registered three assists and David Pastrnak scored one and assisted two.

Buffalo Sabres v Columbus Blue Jackets 


Conor Sheary broke the tie in the third period as the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets a 5-4 victory.

Sheary and Evan Rodrigues each had a goal and an assist, whilst Carter Hutton made 33 saves for the Sabres, who had lost four of five.

Jeff Skinner scored his 31st of the season. Evan Rodrigues, Sam Reinhart and Tage Thompson also scored for the 25-18-3 Sabres.

Pierre-Luc Dubois and Cam Atkinson each netted one and assisted another, Sergio Bobrovsky made 29 saves for the Blue Jackets, who have now lost three in a row, the first time this season.

Philadelphia Flyers v New York Rangers 


Anthony Stolarz made 38 saves in his first start in more than a month for the Flyers in their season-high fifth successive win. It was his first shutout of the season and second of his career.

Oskar Lindblom scored for the visitors, who have outscored their opponents 20-10 during their winning streak.

Meanwhile Alexander Georgiev made 18 saves for the New York Rangers, who until tonight had won three straight games.

Philly have now won six straight against the Rangers.
