Henrik Lundqvist made 43 saves and Vladislav Namestnikov scored the winner for the New York Rangers in their 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Conner Brickley also scored for NY, who pulled within nine points of the second wild card place in the Eastern Conference.
Jordan Martinook scored for the Canes, who were denied a fourth successive win and remain a point behind the Columbus Blue Jackets for the second wild card spot in the East. Curtis McElhinney made 24 saves.

Buffalo Sabres v Florida Panthers

Jonathan Huberdeau, Jayce Hawryluk and Aleksander Barkov scored within 2:35 in the third to help lift the Florida Panthers to a 4-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.
James Reimer, who was making his third consecutive start, made 32 saves for Florida, who have won three in a row and are 9-4-0 in their last 13. They trail the Blue Jackets by 9pts for the second wild card position in the Eastern Conference.
Huberdeau had two goals and an assist, Barkov had a goal and two assists and Frank Vatrano recored two assists.
The Panthers have defeated Buffalo in 10 of their last 11 meetings at BB&T Center dating back to 2013/2014.
Jack Eichel and Vladimir Sobotka scored and Linus Ullmark made 37 saves for Buffalo, who have lost three in a row and four of their last five. They remain six points off the second wild card spot in the East.

Pittsburgh Penguins v New Jersey Devils

Matt Murray made 33 saves for the Pittsburgh Penguins as they earned themselves a 4-3 win against the New Jersey Devils.
Zach Aston-Reece, Nick Bjugstad, Bryan Rust and Chad Ruhwedel scored for the Pens, who defeated the Devils for the first time in four tries this season. Sid Crosby recorded an assist to extend his point streak to six games.
Jesper Bratt and Marcus Johansson each had a goal and an assist, Miles Wood also scored, Mirco Mueller had two assists, and Keith Kinkaid made 24 saves for New Jersey.

The Tampa Bay Lightning won their seventh straight game, a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.
J.T. Miller and Ryan McDonagh both had a goal and an assist, Mikhail Sergachev, Alex Killorn and Yanni Gourde also scored for the Bolts, who are 9-0-2 in their past 11 games, including a 5-1 win at Columbus on Monday. Louis Domingue made 28 saves.
Tampa lead the Boston Bruins by 18pts atop the Eastern Conference.
Oskar Lindblom and Travis Konecny scored for Philly, who lost for the first time in four games and trail the Blue Jackets by 6pts for the second Eastern wild card place.
Brian Elliott made 22 saves in his first game since November 15th due to a lower-body injury. He was activated from injured reserver earlier in the day and replaced Carter Hart after Miller‘s goal.

The Montreal Canadiens ended a four-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Tomas Tatar put the Canadiens 3-2 ahead in the third period after tapping home Jordie Benn‘s cross.
Max Domi and Paul Byron also scored and Carey Price made 31 saves for Montreal, who avoided matching their longest losing streak this season.
Josh Anderson scored one and assisted one, Nick Foligno also scored and Boone Jenner registered two assists for the Blue Jackets, who are 1pt ahead of the Carolina Hurricanes for the second wild card position in the East. Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves.

Toronto Maple Leafs v St Louis Blues

The St Louis Blues set a team record with their 11th consecutive win, with Ryan O’Reilly scoring 34 seconds into overtime to seal 3-2 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jaden Schwartz and Colton Parayko scored for the hosts, who moved 6pts ahead of the Dallas Stars for third place in the Central Division. They haven’t trailed in a game since February 5th, that’s 493:08 of hockey.
Jordan Binnington made 31 saves for St Louis, whose shutout streak ended at 233:50, the second-longest in the club’s history. He has won nine straight starts, a Blues rookie record.
Zach Hyman and Auston Matthews scored and Frederik Andersen made 38 saves for Toronto, who finished 3-2-1 on a six game road trip. The Leafs trail the Bruins by 2pts for second in the Atlantic Division.

Anaheim Ducks v Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild were shutout for the second successive game and lost their fifth in a row, 4-0 to the Anaheim Ducks.
Minnesota, who are 0-4-1 in their last five, matched their season-high losing streak and have one win in their past 10 games. They do however still hold the second wild card position in the Western Conference, 1pt ahead of Colorado Avalanche, the Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks.
Ryan Miller made 31 saves for the visitors, who won their second in a row and are 3-8-0 in their last 11. They trail Minnesota by 3pts.
It was Miller‘s first shutout of the season and 44th of his NHL career.
Jakub Silfverberg opened the scoring, his goal was followed by scores from Corey Perry, Ryan Kesler and Hampus Lindholm.
Devan Dubnyk made 20 saves for the Wild.

Nashville Predators v Dallas Stars

Roman Josi scored twice, including the game-winner in the third period for the Nashville Predators as they beat the Dallas Stars 5-3 at the American Airlines Center.
The Predators captain scored 4-on-4 to give Nashville a 4-3 lead before scoring an emptynetter 31 seconds from time. He also recorded an assist.
Brian Boyle, Rocco Grimaldi and Filip Forsberg also scored for the Preds, who are 4-2-0 in their last six on the road. They sit second in the Central Division, just 1pt behind the Winnipeg Jets.
Ryan Ellis had three assists and Pekka Rinne made 36 saves.
Jason Spezza and Esa Lindell both had a goal and an assist for Dallas, who are 1-4-1 in their last six games. They hold the first wild card slot in the Western Conference and are 6pts behind the St Louis Blues for third place in the Central Division.
Anton Khudobin made 42 saves.

Arizona Coyotes v Edmonton Oilers

The Arizona Coyotes moved within 1pt of the second wild card spot in the Western Conference with a 3-2 shootout victory over the struggling Edmonton Oilers.
Vinnie Hinostroza scored in the third period and had the shootout winner for the Coyotes, who trail the Minnesota Wild by a point. Josh Archibald also scored and Darcy Kuemper made 35 saves.
Adam Larsson scored for the Oilers and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins got the game-tying goal to send it to overtime. Edmonton have lost five in a row and were without Connor McDavid due to illness. Mikko Koskinen made 33 saves.
