Blues hold on, tie series

Jordan Binnington made 29 saves to help lift the St. Louis Blues to a 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final.

The rookie goaltender got his 10th win in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, setting the franchise record for most wins in one postseason. He passes Brian Elliott (2016) and Roman Turek (2001).

Two first period goals were enough to take the victory, with Ivan Barbashev and Tyler Bozak netting for the hosts. It was Barbashev‘s first playoff goal.

Tomas Hertl scored, and Martin Jones made 20 saves for San Jose, who couldn’t find a way back into the game.

Game 5 will be in San Jose on Sunday, with the series winner going on to play the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Monday, May 27 (8pm E.T.)
