The draw for the Group Stages of this season’s UEFA Champions League competition took place in Geneva Thursday afternoon.
Whilst we will have to wait a little longer for the fixtures to be announced, the groups are as follows:

Champions Bayern Munich face Atlético Madrid of Spain, FC Salzburg of Austria and FC Lokomotiv Moskva of Russia in Group A.

Real Madrid take on Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine, Inter Milan of Italy and Borussia Mönchengladbach of Germany in Group B.

Group C sees Portugal’s FC Porto face Manchester City, Olympiacos of Greece and Olympique Marseille of France.

Premier League Champions Liverpool will face Ajax of the Netherlands, Atalanta of Italy (not to be confused with Atlanta United of Georgia, USA) and Midtjylland of Denmark in Group D.

Meanwhile in Group E, Europa League Champions Sevilla of Spain, take on Chelsea, Krasnodar of Russia and Rennes of France.

FC Zenit of Russia will battle against Borussia Dortmund of Germany, S.S. Lazio of Italy and Club Brugge of Belgium for one of the top two places in Group F.

Group G is definitely one to watch with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus taking on Lionel Messi’s Barcelona. Dynamo Kyiv of Ukraine and Ferencvárositic TC (also known as Ferencváros) make up the group.

And last but not least Ligue 1 champions PSG face Manchester United, Red Bull Leipzig of Germany and Istanbul Başakşehir FK of Turkey, who will host this season’s Final.
